The Brazilian queer music scene has a strong support network, and the friendship between Lineker and Lin da Quebrada is one of the strongest pillars. The relationship between the artists goes beyond music and manifests itself in the form of brotherhood and mutual assistance.
“We lived together and lived close to each other,” Lin says. They spent New Year’s Eve together in Bahia, sharing creative processes, shelter, territory, and listening.
The bond is so strong that when Lineker arrived in São Paulo from Araracora, she found a ‘compass’ in Lin da Quebrada.
Lin encouraged her, showed her around the city and warned her about the things she was doing, as she was essential in Lineker’s process of understanding herself and making room for what was inside her.
This connection seems embodied even in sound: in “Goela” (2019), Lin reflects on love with an image that has become a trademark.
Or even in the “Intimidade” clip, the interior scenes were recorded in audio and video recording in the Copan building, in the capital, São Paulo, and show Lineker’s intimate relationship with Lin. “The idea was to give new meaning to the sense of intimacy and the presence of people in the clip,” says Lineker.
“Lynn is a great friend of mine, and with her we were able to talk about beyond romantic love, but also nurturing love,” he says. This is evident in their touches, expressions and appearance.
And they continue to grow stronger. Most recently, in May 2025, Lineker made sure to honor Linn da Quebrada’s return to the stage in the “Trava Línguas” show at SESC 14 Bis, after Linn spent a period of time away caring for her mental health due to worsening depression.
