Gymnastics has a new boss. On a day in the presence of a large crowd of members at the sports center, Carlos Anacleto He imposed himself strongly, achieving 74.06 % Of votes, adding 5739 votes.

Second place went to the Arriba Gimnasia list headed by Daniel Onofri, which added 1,097 votes, allowing it to reach 14.16%. In third place came the Unir a Gimnasia list, which nominated Diego Patiño Chumel as president, with 502 votes, or 6.48% of voters. Finally, Edgardo Medina obtained 4.23% of the votes thanks to his 328 votes. In addition, there were 40 blank votes and 43 invalid votes, reaching 7,749, a new record for the Albiazole election.

The electoral law was late in its inception, as the entire register had to be reprinted, as there was no place for the voter to leave his vote with his signature. For this reason, the scheduled start was at 9:00, with the doors of the sports center opening at 10:26, with voting starting approximately 10 minutes later.

The elections took place in an absolutely normal framework. Among the voters, the figures of former presidents Cacho Sessa, Hector Dominguez and Francisco Guelmo stood out. Former Las Lopas coach, Alicia Casamicella (with her daughter Paola); Former coach Leandro Martini and former footballers Daniel Baio, Antonio Rosell and Lukas Ligt, the latter nominated by Onofri’s list for the Technical Secretariat of Professional Football. Actor Alejo Garcia Pintos was also present.

The only complaints, other than the late start of voting, pointed to several members who claimed their dues were due by now but had not been uploaded into the system, which closed last Thursday at 11:59 p.m. However, while there may always be some charges that are unrestricted or incorrectly recorded, it was a matter of Life Member that did not appear on the list. There is no doubt that it is a mistake.
