Veterinary Council’s reaction to the death of a man who broke into a lioness’s cage

The Regional Veterinary Medical Council of Paraíba (CRMV-PB) issued a statement, on Sunday (30/11), in which it regretted the death of a man after invading a lioness’ cage at the Arruda Camara Zoo (Pica), in João Pessoa (PB).

The Foundation informed that it will request clarifications from the park administration regarding the approved safety protocols.

According to the council, a technical committee will be formed to evaluate the structural and operational conditions of the site. The group should cooperate with the João Pessoa City Council in adopting more stringent preventive measures.
