Today, Senator-elect Patricia Bullrich submitted her resignation as Secretary of National Security through a post on social networks, where she also published the official letter sent to President Javier Miley.
“To the President of the Nation, Javier Miley, I submit my resignation from the position of Minister of National Security. I deeply thank you, Mr. President, for the trust and support to maintain and implement the doctrine of security and order prevailing in the country today,” Bullrich wrote in his message via networks.
In the letter, dated effective December 1, 2025, Bullrich said: “I am honored to write to you to tender my resignation as Secretary of Homeland Security, effective December 1, 2025.”
She recalled that she had received a “clear mandate” to “take care of Argentines, take care of those who take care of us, confront crime decisively and restore order in the streets,” and thanked the “trust” and “support of the entire team” that accompanied her.
Confirming that she will take office as National Senator on December 10, Bullrich stressed that she will continue to defend “the reforms the country needs” and the values of “strong institutions, law and order and a country where good Argentines can live and progress in freedom.”
The official wished “the greatest success” to future Minister Alejandra Montoleva, whom she described as a person “capable of continuing the doctrine that brought order today in the country,” stressing her “ability, experience and commitment” to deepening security policy.
The letter concluded with a final thank you to the President and an official greeting.
