A man was arrested for running over and dragging his ex-girlfriend through the streets in SP – 11/30/2025 – Daily Life

Douglas Alves da Silva, 26, was arrested on Sunday night (age 30), accused of running over and dragging his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend across Sao Paulo.

The Public Security Secretariat said in a statement that civil police officers from Serco (Specialized Center for the Suppression of Miscellaneous Crimes and Events) of the Fourth Division and the 90th Police arrested Douglas, at around 8:40 pm on Sunday, at a hotel in Vila Prudente, eastern district of São Paulo.

After being towed to Marginal Tete by car, Tainara Sousa Santos had both of her legs amputated, required a blood transfusion and was intubated.

After the collision, military police used images from security cameras and radar data in the area to identify the suspect. The police arrived at what would have been his address, but he was not there.
