New rumors about the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake talk about visual improvements and a more detailed map

Of course Assassin’s Creed has new games in development by Ubisoft studiossuch as Hexe and other projects in the future of the franchise, including the return of Black Flag.

When? We don’t know if this remake was planned from the beginning for 2026 or was delayed, but new rumors advance the scale of the project on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at the earliest.

What’s more, we were recently able to see new evidence of the project’s existence thanks to Shadows and the dataminer who revealed it.

This time, it all comes thanks to YouTuber and streamer j0nathanwho left us a new video focused on the project with very interesting information.

Although I also talked about the official name, information and release date, let’s focus on other more interesting aspects.

Especially because the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag remake is more linked to Shadows than it seems.

The remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, in TGA?

To begin with, we focus on Yasuke and Naoe’s adventure because the streamer talks about Weather effects similar to those seen in Shadows.

It also highlights the end of loading times, although Ubisoft may mask them in hallways or in some other way, as some developers tend to do.

The video also mentions a new-look menu and an improved map, perhaps so that it ends up being a complete remake.

PlayStation 5 Slim Digital

The digital PS5 Slim reduced its size and made the reader removable. It features a custom CPU and GPU, an improved cooling system, and 1TB of built-in SSD storage.

Regarding the latter, in the video they comment that they do not intend to make it bigger and/or condensed, but rather with greater detail and a greater number of activities.

It’s still too early to know if it will arrive next year, although it looks very good. Will you be present at The Game Awards 2025?
