Catalonia believes swine fever may have entered Spain via a contaminated sausage sandwich eaten by wild boars.

The state’s Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, Oscar Ordig, said there were indications about the origin of the outbreak but “this has not been confirmed”.
