Raul Gazzola recalled on Monday (1/12) the emotional confession he received from Gloria Perez 10 years after the death of Daniela Perez. The actor was married to the author’s daughter for two years, until her murder in 1992.
During his participation in the meeting, Gazzola revealed that he did not receive the first call from the artist’s mother until nearly a decade after the crime. He also said that from this connection he started one of the key stages in his career alongside his former mother-in-law.

The actor revealed, “I remember the first time Gloria called me, 10 years after losing Danny. She said, ‘Now I’m ready to work with you.’ I wanted to invite you to do The Clone.”
“I said: ‘With the greatest pleasure of my life.’ “It was a TV series that had a huge influence on me. It stood out for all of us, and I thought it was great. “Since then, I have done almost all of Gloria’s series,” he added.
In addition to O Clone (2001), Raúl Gazola and Gloria Pérez worked together in the TV series América (2005), A Força do Querer (2017), and Travessia (2022), the veteran’s last work on television.

He added: “We are very good friends. I have unconditional love for Gloria, for everything we have been through together and for the partnership we have formed.”
Daniela Pérez, daughter of the famous author of such hits as Salve Jorge, Caminho das Indias and Hilda Furacão, was murdered during the recording of the TV series De Corpo e Alma by co-star Guilherme de Padua and his then wife, Paula Tomaz.
More than 30 years after the crime, Raul Gazzola says he has not yet been able to overcome his wife’s death, but he has learned to live with what happened.
He admitted, “I have very good feelings. I don’t miss the past, because I like to live in the present, but I don’t forget. The past created my present today.”
