Brasilia wins, leaving Z2 and touching G8. See Women’s Premier League standings

Brasilia left the relegation zone of the 2025/26 Women’s Volleyball Super League by defeating Reinas Sorocaba in three sets to zero – splits 25-19, 25-11, 25-23 -, on Monday night (12/1), at the Cissy Taguatinga Gym, in the Federal District, in the eighth round of the round.

With this result, the team rose to ninth place with 6 points, as it played with Tijuca for the Z2 team. Sorocaba’s team remains in last place without any victories so far. See the Women’s Super League standings below.

Sorocaba will return to court next Friday (12/5) to face Sancor Maringa, at 6:30 pm, at home. On the same day and time, Brasilia Batafo faces McKenzie again in the Federal District.

After losing the first two sets – the second by a very large margin (25 to 11), Sorocaba’s coach, Clovis Granado, started the third set with three players coming from the bench: opposite Pamela, winger Isabella Baciardi and setter Laura. This is how the team reacted, and dominated the scoreboard, leading 22 to 19, but it did not maintain that and turned things upside down in the end.

Opposite Gabi Carneiro, from Brasilia, was the top scorer with 16 points (14 attack, 1 block and 1 serve) and won the VivaVôlei Cup.
