The situation extended to the relationship between the club company and the Botafogo Federation. After all, members of Mais Tradicional have asked the Rio de Janeiro court to include John Textor, controller of SAF Alvinegra, in the case against Eagle Football Holdings, the company that owns 90% of Glorioso’s football and of which he is a majority shareholder. Big boss north america. The news comes from the newspaper “O Globo” today, Monday (1).

The case is now pending in the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice. In it, Botafogo Social again asked Eagle to pay a financial guarantee of at least R$155 million to SAF. The association claims that this figure refers to 10% of the club company’s debts. The club company had already disavowed this action in an official statement.

The report adds that if the court accepts the request, Textor could be considered responsible for the debts and legally responsible for the obligations.

“This is a necessary measure to protect the interests of the minority partner and, logically, the interests of SAF Botafogo itself, and to prevent the arbitration or judicial process from having irreversible practical effects to its detriment, without being protected from the minimum risks arising from litigation between observers,” the link in the application indicates.

In contrast, Botafogo Social Company withdrew its request to intervene in the Sudanese Armed Forces. Moreover, the SAF does not need to seek a license to sell its assets, as the association wanted. The court already overturned last week’s request.
