Javier Foundes made these remarks at the NH Hotel “Palacio del Duero” in the capital, Zamora, while serving wine. The ceremony was also attended by the Board of Directors of the Sierra de la Culebra Vineyards and Wine Association, including its president Rubén Gago, specialized journalist Javier Pérez, the public specialized in oenology, restaurants and hospitality, as well as representatives of public and private institutions and bodies.

The majority varieties, representing 98 percent of the vineyard, are Tempranillo, Mencia, Palomino, Garnacha, Brunal and Doña Blanca.
The wines of the Sierra de la Culebra group are combined with those produced in the sphere of influence of the Sierra de la Culebra (Zamora), directly on the border with Portugal, partly including the regions of Sanabria, La Carballeda, Aleste, Tabara and Alba.
