A man was shot dead after resisting approaching military police in Brazilandia, north of São Paulo, last Sunday (30/11). He was rescued at Vila Nova Cachuirinha Hospital, but did not survive the injury.
A security camera recorded the action (See above), on Berenice Street. In the images, it is possible to see a Military Police vehicle driving along Rua Vitória Régia when a motorcycle collides head-on with the vehicle.
Two men fall off the motorcycle and run away, each in a different direction. Police shot the suspect, who ran onto Rua Bernice and fell into the street, dropping a gun he was carrying. The other suspect is still wanted by police.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, a .380-caliber pistol bearing a shaved number was seized from the suspect’s possession, as well as the police officer’s pistol.

The incident was registered as a death resulting from police intervention and illegal possession of a firearm authorized for use by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
