Red Bull Racing is expected to announce in the coming days Max Verstappen’s Formula 1 teammate in 2026. According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Austrian team has chosen Isak Hajjar, from the Racing Bulls team, as the second driver.

He will replace Yuki Tsunoda, whose season was below expectations. Furthermore, the fact that Red Bull will stop using Honda engines in 2026 will weigh heavily on the Japanese driver. The company is one of the sponsors of the Japanese driver.
Hajjar is a graduate of the Red Bull Driver Academy. The 21-year-old Frenchman finished second in the Formula 2 Championship in 2024, when he lost the title to Brazilian Gabriel Bortoletto.
In the current season, the Frenchman is performing well. So far, he is ranked tenth in the World Drivers’ Championship, and also finished third in the Dutch Grand Prix, held at the end of August.
