On Tuesday (2/12), former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) published a series of videos in which former Governor Ciro Gomez (PSDB) appears criticizing former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his family. According to her, the positions of Ciro, a former ally of Lula, were the reason behind her criticism of the politician from Ceara, who now enjoys the support of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Michele favors the candidacy of Senator Eduardo Girão (Novo) for Ceará’s government while she is far from her stepchildren.
In one of the videos posted by Michel, Gomez claims that he was a colleague of Bolsonaro while he held a seat in the House of Representatives, and says that he was “a crook from the lowest clergy, who even stole money from gasoline.” He even compares Bolsonaro to a chicken thief.
In another post, Ciro stated that all of Bolsonaro’s children are fraudsters and accused Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) of being a “fraud.” Ciro also says that Flavio is a thief and that his family is not prosecuting him, because he would have the means to prove it.
Michele also shared Ciro Gomez’s letter about the episode in which a former advisor to Bolsonaro’s eldest son, Fabricio Quiroz, deposited checks into Michele’s account. There was at least R$89,000 in deposits between 2011 and 2016. The case was investigated, but ended up being archived. Ciro claims in the video that Michelle is also corrupt.
The former first lady also issued a statement about the situation, saying, “I could never agree to lend my support to the candidacy of a man who has caused so much harm to my husband and my family.”

Confusion
Last Sunday (30/11), the former First Lady criticized Ciro Gomez during an event in Ceara. “It’s about this alliance that you (PL) rushed to make. (…) An alliance with the man (Ciro) who stands against the biggest leader of the right, that’s not possible. (…) We want calm, we want unity, and we see that the person does not raise the white flag. The person keeps saying that the family is a family of thieves, a family of criminals. They liken President Bolsonaro to a chicken thief. So, there is no more,” said Michele.
It turned out that the former president, before his arrest, had participated in an agenda in the state and indicated his approval of the alliance between the Ceara PL group and Cerro Gomez, to defeat the Workers’ Party in the state.
The stepsons criticize Michelle
In response to his stepmother, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, who was elected as his father’s spokesman while Bolsonaro remains in prison, spoke out against his stepmother.
“You ran over President Bolsonaro himself, who allowed the movement of Rep. Andre Fernandez in Ceará. The way you addressed him, who is perhaps our greatest local leader, was authoritarian and embarrassing,” Jair Bolsonaro’s eldest son told Igor Gadelha, from Metropolis.
In addition to Flavio, Council Member Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and Federal Representative Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) spoke in support of his brother and against his stepmother.
