The hosts of the match, Grêmio, arrive at the clash having achieved an impressive result against Palmeiras, when they beat the São Paulo team 3 x 2. In 10th place, the Gauchos can still secure a place in a potential Group of Eight, which could take the team to the Copa Libertadores.
While playing away from home, Fluminense does not know what it means to lose in five matches. Cariocas’ last match was a 6-0 win over Sao Paulo, which confirmed the team’s place in next season’s Copa Libertadores.
