At around 2 p.m., hot weather generated areas of instability over the Greater São Paulo area that caused slow displacement in the extreme southern region, in an isolated manner with strong and moderate intensity mainly between the sub-prefectures of Barileiros and Capilla do Socorro.

These areas are likely to spread in the coming hours across the city, aided by the arrival of sea breezes. There is a possibility of active winds.

The municipal authority also announced the locations that witnessed the strongest wind gusts recorded. At the Lapa/Villa Leopoldina meteorological station at 2:30 pm, 39.9 km/h was recorded. At Santana/Carandero, 1:20 p.m., 36.5 km/h; And at M’boi Mirim/Barragem Guarapiranga at 1:50 pm at a speed of 26.4 km/h.

On Wednesday (3), the Advisory Group of Experts expects the weather to continue to be rainy with temperatures dropping. Temperatures should range between a minimum of 18°C and a maximum of 25°C. Rainfall should alternate with periods of improvement, varying in intensity throughout the day. Continuing rainfall increases the possibility of floods and tree falls.

Thursday (4) is supposed to start with lots of clouds and drizzle, which will decrease throughout the day, the EAG informed. The sun may appear between many clouds especially in the afternoon, but temperatures are not expected to rise much with minimums remaining around 16°C and maximums remaining below 23°C.
