Madrid, December 2 (European Press) –

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he would “very soon” begin attacking targets inside Venezuela, part of an escalation of ship bombings in the Caribbean and Pacific against alleged drug traffickers.

“We’re going to start carrying out these attacks on the ground, too,” Trump announced during a cabinet meeting broadcast by the White House. “It’s much easier. We know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad guys live, and we’ll start doing that very soon.”

In his speech, he accused the previous administration, led by Democrat Joe Biden, of implementing an immigration policy that allowed the flow of drugs and the entry of “killers” without “any control” and which claimed the lives of many people in the United States: “We are eliminating these sons of bitches.”

However, the New York mogul considered carrying out bombings against other countries under the same pretext, because he considered that “anyone” who produced or sold drugs to the United States was “under attack.”

Trump’s statements come a few days after he held a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro, in the midst of bilateral tensions since the US military deployment in the waters of the Caribbean and Pacific region, allegedly to combat drug trafficking.
