Joel doesn’t just work as an influencer. In fact, long before his social media appearance, he worked as a teacher and consultant in the education departments of the Federal District and the state of Goiás.
However, at the beginning of this year, he went viral on social media and now has over two million followers on his profiles.
Column was at the Primary Education Center (CEF) 27 in Sealandia to talk to Joel, now known internationally as Divo.
With humor and charisma, he took the report into the room where he worked as a consultant, but what he really talked about was his work outside the educational field: online.
“I saw the influencer Carlinhos Maya and I thought it was interesting because he is from that little village in Penedo (Alba), similar to my small town too, with short built-up houses, and I thought: ‘Interesting, right?’ The person who managed to conquer the world became the king of Instagram. Then I thought: Can I too?
With the arrival of fame, the professor had to work hard to balance his role as advisor, at Sealandia, as professor, at Aguas Lindas de Goias (GO), and various emails with invitations to establish partnerships.
According to him, everything is under control at the moment. He explained, “I try to only record and drink (beer) on the weekends. Although you see me drinking every day, I only drink on the weekends. I record videos on Saturday and Sunday and then schedule releases for the rest of the week.”
