On Tuesday, the spokeswoman for the People’s Party in Congress, Esther Muñoz, criticized the government of Pedro Sánchez, and especially the Ministry of Defence, for once again “picking” to award a contract to Turkey worth 3,000 million euros without a budget.
Muñoz reacted in this way when he was asked about information published by ABC, stating that the ministry headed by Margarita Robles chose to award a contract to Turkey to manufacture a training aircraft without following the usual procedure for selecting, public display or competition for the aircraft model.
The “popular” leader places this measure of the government in the usual procedure of the SWP, although she points out that the amount of 3,000 million euros is a “not insignificant” amount for the government that had previously passed through Congress to calculate the aforementioned contract.
However, Muñoz stressed that his parliamentary group will register many questions about this contract in Congress and elsewhere until the government explains this “manual maneuver” that it has decided to perform without closing the draft budget yet.
