The head of the INSS CPI asks to visit Bolsonaro in the National Front

Viana stated in the request that “the visit is of a purely humanitarian and institutional nature, without a legal purpose, and without interference in judicial decisions, investigations or acts of criminal execution.” The senator also pledges to “fully monitor access and security protocols, connection limits and other guidelines” imposed by the STF.

Last week, Bolsonaro, Heleno, Braga Neto and Nogueira began implementing the sentences imposed on them by the special court after they were convicted of attempting a coup. The former president is being held at the Federal Police Control Authority (PF) in Brasilia. The other three, as reserve generals, are stationed in military units in the federal capital and in Rio de Janeiro.

Former naval commander Almir Garnier Santos and former minister Anderson Torres were also arrested last week and are serving sentences in Brasilia.
