A 38-year-old man was caught red-handed in the city of Aguas Lindas de Goias, on the outskirts of the Federal District, after attacking his ex-partner and threatening to kill him. The arrest was made on Monday (12/1).

The man said: “I’ll be at the store in a moment. Let her scream like she screamed at me, and she’ll see what I’ll do, mess up. She’ll have to call the army, it won’t be the police.”
According to the Civil Police of Goiás (PCGO), the victim went to the police station to file a report. According to the woman, she went to her ex-husband’s house to look for clothes, and at that moment he interrogated her and began breaking things, uttering a “shameful” insult and a threat: “I will kill you if you report me.”
Then, according to the victim, the attacker threw the bag of clothes outside, pushed her to the ground and closed the gate on her leg, causing injury to the woman.

According to the victim, the man had previously cut off her hand with a knife last October, in addition to threatening to kill her, in another audio recording, and then commit suicide if he reported it. The attacker said: “I’m going to kill myself and shoot myself in the head, that’s shit.”
When they arrived at the house to arrest him, the author attempted to resist, running into the house and releasing a dog in an attempt to prevent entry. However, soon after he surrendered and was arrested.
The victim’s medical report confirmed the presence of abrasions in the right leg, inflammation in the left knee, and abrasions in the finger of the left hand, resulting from a sharp action.
According to PCGO, the prisoner has another conviction, for attempted murder. He was charged with intentional physical harm, insult and threats, all in the context of the María da Penha Law, and was sent to the Aguas Leyendas prison unit.
