In the final stretch of the year, Sotildo scores his first goal of 2025

Fluminense took the lead against Gremio on Tuesday (12/2), with Verson Sotildo responsible for opening the scoring. The Venezuelan scored his first goal of 2025.

“I think it’s a good moment, there are a lot of injuries this year. Thank God I’m fine and the teacher gives me more confidence,” said the athlete.

The striker scored in the 22nd minute of the first half, in a move that combined speed, opportunism, and the famous former rule. Before the goal the duel was balanced.

In the 22nd minute of the first half, Samuel Xavier sent Lucho Acosta into the attack. The midfielder found Sotildo arriving in the corner, and the No7 took advantage of a Thiago Volpe error to finish accurately and open the scoring up the pitch.

Play was reviewed for possible offside, but the goal was confirmed, ensuring the Venezuelan completed the first official goal of 2025.

The last time the Venezuelan scored was for Gremio itself, on October 26, 2024, in a 3-1 win over Atletico-GO, at the Arena.
