In the film, Isora is a woman who is silenced in all aspects of her life. The actress says she needed to understand how to communicate with a character who speaks little but interacts a lot.

“These characters who are searching for existence, searching for welcome, as wonderful as it may sound, I think silence has to do with searching for our voice. We need silence. And there are so many voices to find our voice. So, I find working with this very poetic.”

Rebecca’s experience as a Pernambuco woman also influenced the process. She says her cultural training in Recife led her to fulfill her dream of appearing on the big screen one day. “I’m a big fan of the culture of Pernambuco, the cinema of Pernambuco and I think that shapes the imagination of my passion for my work, for cinema, theatre, music, visual arts, in everything, I think.”

The actress is currently experiencing an intense circulation moment between theatre, streaming and cinemas. She’s in As Vitrines, in the fifth season of Sintonia and has already started rehearsing the musical Domingo no Parque, inspired by the works of Gilberto Gil, scheduled for 2026.

“It’s fun to try all these languages, because I’ve reinvented myself a lot,” he says. “Working with so many different languages and personalities is things that feed into each other.”
