EMS plans to increase the private hospital segment’s share in the institutional business division from 8% to 25% through the purchase of Fresenius Kabi’s assets. At the end of November, the pharmaceutical company concluded the purchase of the injectable medicines operation from the German holding company Fresenius, which includes an injectable medicines factory in Annapolis (GO), a research center and a distribution center in Goiânia (GO). The purchase, the value of which was not disclosed, was financed by the Brazilian company’s funds.
