YouTuber Felipe Neto, 37, caused a stir with messages and videos on social media on Tuesday 2, about mental health.

The conversation with followers started after one person questioned the fact that the YouTuber was “only wearing a black t-shirt.” Felipe explained at that moment that he had ten black shirts like the one he was wearing, and said that he needed wide-necked shirts to stay at home. “Otherwise I get a lot of pain in my neck.”

After receiving a message called “Fresh” for this reason, Felipe gave more details about what he feels: “So, ‘Fresh’ is a mental disorder. It causes a very strong pain in the neck, especially if you are relaxing at home and with something touching the area. It’s terrible…”

He also explained that this pain, in his case, does not usually appear in public and occurs when he is relaxed. “Except when I’m in crisis, she comes all the time and I have to put my hand on my neck.”

“What is known is that this sensation seems to occur more in people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). But there is no name for it, there is no precise diagnosis and people talk about different types of pain, which makes everything more difficult. As I said, a psychiatrist is ideal, but there are treatments with psychologists who specialize in desensitization that can help a lot,” the influencer also wrote.

Felipe Neto also said that it is very difficult to explain this feeling. He added: “It’s like it’s a weakness, like I feel like someone’s going to stick a knife in my neck at any moment and I need to defend myself. So, if I’m in this torment and I don’t put my hand on my neck, I don’t know what will happen to me.”

He added: “I wondered and thought several times: Damn, what if I was having this crisis and someone handcuffed me, I think I would really go into a psychotic episode. I think I don’t know what’s going to happen, because it’s instantaneous. My hand is on my neck and I can’t do it, I can’t do it.” He said he is currently taking a specific medication that has significantly reduced his symptoms.
