Model Marcela Tomaszewski, 28, released recordings of conversations she had with friends throughout her relationship with Dado Dolabella, 45, in the early hours of Wednesday 3rd.

Marcela sends messages to her friends, pictures of her bleeding and bruised. “Today I decided to collect some photos and conversations that show what I went through, not just the physical attacks, but also the emotional and psychological attacks, which started much earlier. This is not the first time she has accused her ex-boyfriend of assault. In the past, when the case became public, she denied that she was a victim of domestic violence. When she actually started to accuse him, Marcela published an open letter on her social networks, stating that she had made the initial decision to dismiss the case for fear of society’s judgement. “I do this because, in the last few days, the news has made me increasingly afraid about what is happening to many women. The woman who thought she could get out of all of this without having her name associated with something very dangerous.” She also denied that she was revealing the conversations to promote her brand. “I will never be able to release something I built with love (…) in the midst of such pain.”

“I leave this relationship seeing the name that I took care of for 28 years being dragged away by something terrible, but I got out alive, and that to me is already a victory,” he said. Marcela also explained that she decided to leave Brazil for a while to avoid public trial in the streets. He concluded, “I have done my part: I have survived. I hope justice will come. I hope peace will return. And maybe other women will find strength in seeing that I too need to seek help. Now it is time to walk away and start over.”
