The group notes that the initiative represents an “institutional milestone” by uniting a coordinated effort for the first time between the government and the private sector to combat digital financial crimes in an organized and sustained manner.

The plan consists of more than 20 initiatives covering user education and awareness, risk mitigation, data sharing, training, victim assistance, prosecution, and asset recovery.

For the forum, the launch reinforces that “inclusion and competition” depend on coordination between associations and government, and that the fight against digital fraud “is only effective when all links in the ecosystem work in an integrated way.” The plan, according to the group, turns “multi-sectoral cooperation into permanent state policy.”

The entities also stated that they will continue to contribute technically to the implementation of planned measures and continuous improvement of security strategies in the payments environment.

ABBC CEO Leandro Vilan estimates that “the plan opens a coordinated architecture to combat digital fraud, with mechanisms that enhance traceability, operational standardization, and systemic response capacity.” For the head of the APEC region, Giancarlo Greco, “coordinated action is important to reduce fraud on a large scale and effectively.”

“Ensuring security for users is an absolute priority for Abibag, which will continue to contribute to the alliance and other initiatives,” says Abibag CEO Vinicius Carrasco. “Our environment is secure and resilient, and digital financial inclusion is the hallmark of our country,” said Abranet Advisory Board Chair Carol Conway, adding that the sector is ready to “fight distractions and support authorities on this front that involves rapid expression, education and strategy.”

“It is a charter so that every citizen can have confidence in the digital environment, so that companies can innovate without fear, so that the country can move forward in security and transparency,” says Vibraban President Isaac Sidney. “This is a joint and coordinated effort to raise the level of security and trust in the payment environment,” said Zetta President Eduardo Lopez.
