The Mayor of La Plata, Julio Alaque, and the Minister of the Supreme Court of Buenos Aires, Hilda Cogan, signed an agreement to strengthen technical cooperation and mutual assistance between the Electoral Council of the Province of Buenos Aires and the Municipality of La Plata.
Under the agreement, the Electoral Council committed to making available to the municipality the use of the FIDAS application, which allows the digital signature of officials, which is essential for issuing reliable communications and notifications.
The tool will be used by the misdemeanor court, allowing the municipal electronic address to go into action and for misdemeanor judges to notify offenders at that address through digitally signed communications.
The agreement also represents a significant advance for the Platense Collection Agency (APR), because in cases of debts of tax origin, the Agency will be able to notify the corresponding municipal electronic address of each taxpayer registering previously claimed liabilities that have not yet been regulated.
In this way, both the Misdemeanor Court, in the context of violations, and the General Investment Authority, in relation to tax debts, will have an official and secure digital channel for submitting official notifications with a digital signature.
It should be noted that in parallel with the signing of the agreement, the misdemeanor court and the debt collection agency are progressing in registering violators and taxpayers so that they can enable and maintain their electronic addresses under security conditions.
