Mirasol secured their place in the 2026 Libertadores on Tuesday (2/12), beating Vasco 2-0. The match of round 37 of the Brazilian championship saw Leao Caibera reach 66 points in the table. By being among the top five in the Brazilian League, the club secured direct progression to the group stage and made a profit of US$3 million (about R$16 million).
This value is about 2.5 times greater than what the team invested in reinforcements this year. Mirassol moved to Série A this season and spent R$6.5 million on signings. Furthermore, the amount is equivalent to R$7 million more than the club earns from sponsorship.

R$16 million is awarded to the 32 guaranteed participants in the group stage of the competition. Furthermore, for every victory in this stage, 300 thousand US dollars (about 1.7 million Brazilian reals) are distributed. In other words, if they are victorious in all six matches, the club will receive an additional US$1.8 million (R$9.55 million), as was the case with Palmeiras this year.
