ACTC with activities in schools

ACTC Educación will carry out various activities in La Plata. The Vehicle Mechanics Day will be held on Thursday the 4th, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the San Vicente de Paul Technical School, located at 116th and 43rd Streets, in the city of La Plata.

Sergio Bendas and Pedro Viglietti, engineers and professionals with extensive experience in motorsport, will be responsible for teaching the training. Julián Santero’s Ford Mustang will be on hand so teachers can explain what the TC looks like in detail.

I know they will cover different topics about the mechanical, technical and aerodynamic part of land tourism. In addition, topics such as track geometry, data interpretation, setup concepts, classification of body types and suspension systems in front-wheel drive vehicles, among other contents will be developed.

Gaston Mazzacan, former TC and Formula 1 driver, will be present to develop all his experience and pass on all his wisdom to the students in attendance.

Meanwhile, on Friday the 5th of this month, at the San Vicente de Paul Technical School – the place where the Mechanics Day will also take place – the ACTC Road Education Workshop will be held, from 9am to 1pm, in the presence of Julian Santero, current Road Tourism Champion.

The training will be conducted by Diego Garay and Claudio Alonso, who will assess the students through a test that raises questions such as: Why do road accidents happen? How to prevent it and reduce its consequences? What actions should be taken in case of emergency?

The program suggests thinking about basic topics: responsible use of bicycles and motorcycles, prevention of alcoholism, the importance of passenger awareness, respect for public transport rules and the role of the police in investigating accidents.

The activities are developed in an interactive and participatory way, using different educational resources – skateboards, motorcycles, simulator vehicles, glasses and special devices – as well as road simulators and cognitive tools that allow to recreate real situations in a safe environment.
