The Ribera Salud group sent a statement last night announcing that “to guarantee the values and ethics that have always characterized the group, Pablo Gallart (CEO) has asked the president of Ribera, Emanuel de Geuser, to distance himself from responsibilities related to the management of the Torrejón hospital while the group conducted an in-depth audit to ensure that there was no failure to meet quality standards in patient care, professional ethics or the law.” This announcement comes after EL PAÍS revealed audio recordings in which Pablo Gallart was ordered to increase waiting lists and ignore profitable operations to increase benefits.
After the meeting of September 25 in which Gallart transferred these instructions into twenty-five orders, revealed by El Pais, the political movement both in the Community of Madrid and in the government was immediate. After hours of listening to these audio recordings, the lower group that runs the Torrejón General Hospital, with a private concert, sent the message.
In it, in addition to making this announcement about Gallart, it states that “the absolute priority of the Group and its maximum shareholder Vivalto Santi is and will continue to be the preservation of its patients”, and that “for this reason, the service and attention to the patient will continue to maintain quality and precision as always”. It is also important that the Ribera Health Group “maintains its commitment to the public health system to continue providing the best possible care to the patient,” and that this “has always been the priority for Hospital Torrejón and for Ribera throughout its 26-year history.”
