The Board of Directors of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata decided to apply the temporary suspension to three members identified as the protagonists of the serious events that occurred during the Ordinary Assembly of October 30, which ended in physical attacks, blows with chairs and an atmosphere of extreme tension.
As director Oscar Gonzalez Arzac explained at the meeting, the analysis of the club’s security cameras allowed us to initially identify Jorge Eduardo Sigismundo (member number 10553400), Daniel Gustavo Giannini (number 12912700) and Bautista Giannini (number 12912703) as direct participants in the violence against members of the board of directors. Based on the seriousness of what happened and “in the interests of order, decency and institutional prestige”, the Conference on Disarmament unanimously approved the proposal to apply immediate temporary suspension, a power provided for in Article 41 of the Social Statute.
