The Brazilian auto market ended November with slower movement, but with important moves in the rankings. Fiat maintained its lead for the month, despite the sharper decline. Italian brand Stellantis sold 45,100 units (-11%) compared to October, when it recorded 50,600 vehicles.

Volkswagen touched Fiat, but also lost volume

Volkswagen, in second place, practically kept the pace: it sold 40,800 units (-2%), reducing the distance to the leader and maintaining a very strong presence at the top. See the exact numbers released by Fenabrave at the end of the article.

Chevrolet took its place on the podium in third place, and achieved a positive performance in the month of November. GM’s sole brand in the country sold 27,500 vehicles (+2%) and was one of the few brands to advance in the monthly comparison, helped by good volume for the Onix, Onix Plus and Tracker models.

Hyundai did not repeat its excellent October performance: it came in fourth place, but it sold 19,900 units (-17%), one of the largest declines among the leaders, with a direct impact from lower deliveries of the HB20 and Creta. Renault, by contrast, had a steady month in fifth place. It sold 13,600 vehicles (+14%) and rose clearly, supported by the good performance of Kwid and Duster.

Jeep fluctuated a bit and came in sixth. It sold 11.00 units (-6%), remaining stable within the normal range for the compact SUV segment. BYD was close to its previous result: it sold 9,800 cars (-4%), maintaining seventh place and confirming its strong presence among the 10 largest companies in the country.

Toyota falls to ninth place with a decrease in sales by -37%

Honda also backed down. The Japanese brand sold nearly 9,000 units (-11%), following a decline in demand recorded for some of its flagship models and finished in eighth place. Toyota, still without normal production, posted the biggest decline in the group and closed the month in ninth place. 8,100 vehicles sold (-37%), performance affected by reduced supply of Corolla and Corolla Cross.

Closing the top 10, Caoa Chery sold 7,000 units (-13%), also below the pace recorded in October, but solidly as the second Chinese brand in the country. See below the ranking of the 20 best-selling brands in November, according to Fenabrave.
