In just over a year as a professional team coach, Filipe Luis has already won his fifth professional title. After the Brazilian Cup, the Super Cup, the Carioca and the Libertadores, he has now also claimed the title of Brazilian champion by defeating Ceara 1-0 at the MaracanΓ£, on Wednesday. With this, the young coach joins a select group of those who have already won the country’s premier competition both on the pitch and on the edge of the pitch.
The current red and black leader is the tenth to achieve this feat. He already had two Brazilians on his player CV (2019 and 2020), both with Flamengo. With the current achievement he joins Ennio Andrade, Paolo Cesare Carpigiani, Carlos Alberto Torres, Pepe, Joel Santana, Emerson Leao, Morici Ramalho, Andrade, and Ruggero Ceni.
In fact, Felipe is not the first to become a Brazilian hero as a player and coach with Flamengo. Carpigiani and Andrade have already achieved this feat in red and black. Not to mention Ceni, who won his only league title with Rio.
