Former secretary Alessandro Pietompera Caracina was arrested on suspicion of receiving money from the faction to leak confidential information and serve interests through connections gained in public life, according to federal police. Karacina was Undersecretary of the Ministry of Consumer Protection, a position from which he was dismissed in January this year. Previously, he served as Secretary of State for Sports and Recreation of Rio, under Governor Claudio Castro, in 2022, and Municipal Secretary of Public Order of the capital, under Marcelo Crivella of the Rio City Council, in 2020.

According to the investigation, TH Goyas used his mandate in the Legislative Assembly of Rio (Alerg) to benefit organized crime. He was accused of brokering the purchase and sale of drugs, guns and anti-drone equipment destined for Complexo do Alemão.
