Some songs are born to live offstage, and “Veludo Marrom” is one of them. After winning a Latin Grammy Award for Best Portuguese Language Song, the song now plays primetime on TV Globo as the theme song for the protagonist Gerluce, played by Sophie Charlotte, in the TV series “Três Graças”.
The choice of music to accompany this central character is no coincidence: the song, over seven minutes long, combines delicacy, intensity and sublimation, the kind of emotion that builds atmosphere.
When he heard the song live for the first time, Lineker’s reaction was one of happy surprise: “Guys, Filodo Marum is in the series. Oh my God!” Then he admitted, “This means a lot to me!”
