A woman and her current partner were arrested in Almería over the death of her son, a four-year-old boy, whose body was found Wednesday night on a beach in the municipality of Garrocha-Almería, sources close to the investigation reported on Thursday.
Sources from the Garrocha City Council explained that at around 10:30 p.m., notification was received on Wednesday about the disappearance of a minor and a search was activated by the local police, Civil Protection and Civil Guard. Sources close to the investigation added that the minor’s mother and her current partner are the two arrested persons.
According to sources close to the investigation, the woman’s aunt was the one who reported the child’s disappearance, because the mother sent a message saying that she had abandoned him in a beach hut. The Civil Guard found the child’s body with clear signs indicating that he had been subjected to a violent death in a rocky area on the beach, and shortly after, they arrested the mother and his current partner, who is not the minor’s father.
