The mission of Cáritas Diocesana de Toledo is to generate hope and opportunities for the people it works with and accompanies, and its mission is also to promote the transformation of society, encouraging and infecting various agents. … So that they join this mission, and the commercial and institutional fabric is essential in this path that began years ago with the program.Companies with a heart.
For this reason, and with the aim of thanking the companies and private entities that cooperate with Caritas Diocese of Toledo, through the “Companies with Heart” programme, a thanksgiving ceremony was held in the Council Hall of the Diocese of Toledo for the companies and private entities committed to Caritas, which signed the “Companies with Heart” agreement.
This action was a “huge thank you” to all the business agents and institutions who share Caritas’ commitment to generating hope and opportunities for the more than 14,000 people whom Caritas Diocesana de Toledo benefits in the Diocese of Toledo.
“We are all little lights in the darkness of the world, and with your small and great actions, you can give hope to many people,” Archbishop of Toledo Francisco Cerro Chávez, accompanied by Marisa Martinez, responsible for the Business with Heart Program at Caritas Diocesana of Toledo, told the businessmen and entity representatives present.
For her part, Marisa Martinez commented that thanks to “your partnerships with Corazon, our partners and donors, and thanks to everyone, last year we were able to distribute more than one One million euros of food and basic necessities for more than 2,000 families in need Which we serve in all diocesan Caritas parishes and in our shelters, soup kitchens and diocesan centres.
Marisa Martinez said: “Thank you to all the people who turn to Caritas asking for help, confident that in Caritas, which is the church, they will not only find financial or food assistance, but they will also find a big family that will always be by their side. Because they know that for Caritas they are not numbers, they are people.”
