Former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro and her daughter Laura paid a visit on Thursday (4) to former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) at the National Front (Federal Police) watch in Brasilia.
The meeting was approved by STF (Supreme Federal Court) Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Bolsonaro has been detained there since November 22, by decision of the minister, as part of the coup operation.
Michelle and Laura arrived at the National Front control body at 9:30 am. Under Moraes’ decision, they can stay with the former president for only 30 minutes. The minister also allowed a visit on Thursday to Carlos Bolsonaro, a Rio de Janeiro city council member and one of the former president’s sons.
The visits take place after a public disagreement in the family due to the PL’s alliance with former Minister Ciro Gomez (PSDB) in Ceará.
Michel criticized the agreement, which prompted Bolsonaro’s sons to criticize her.
But after visiting his father on Monday, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) announced that he had apologized to his stepmother. In the afternoon, he attributed the incident to “communication noise”, said that everyone was talking “like adults” and that the goal was to defeat the Workers’ Party in Ceará.
Hizb ut-Tahrir, in turn, on Tuesday (2) suspended its support for Siro’s candidacy for the Ceara government.
