
The Times Higher Education ranking, in partnership with Schmidt Science Fellows, takes into account the ability to implement and promote interdisciplinary science, which integrates different areas of knowledge. In this sense, it innovates by valuing collaboration between scientific disciplines and those that do not form part of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) spectrum.
The full list – which this time analyzes 911 universities from 94 countries – also includes 37 other Brazilian institutions.
In both versions of the rankings, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranked first. India was the country with the highest rated educational institutions, with 88. See the top 5 institutions below:
