
Christopher Nolan aspires to be the king of summer at the box office in 2026 with his next film, The Odysseywhich will adapt Homer’s iconic epic as never before seen on the big screen.
With Matt Damon leading the cast, the film’s plot follows Odysseus’ long return journey after the legendary Trojan War, which is forced to cross the oceans on a decade-long mission to return to Ithaca.
Along his dangerous journey, our courageous protagonist will encounter several characters from Greek mythology, such as Telemachus, son of Odysseus/Ulysses and Penelope; the lustful goddess Calypso; the giant cyclops Polyphemus; the brilliant sorceress Circe; the goddess Athena; or the vengeful sea god Poseidon.

In recent months the cast has done nothing but praise the work done by Christopher Nolan, who He shot the entire film using IMAX technology.
Not only that, but the filmmaker, following his particular style, decided to use as few digital effects as possible to make the most of his practical approach.
It is this aspect that Nick E. Tarabay, one of the actors in The Odyssey. talking to Screen speechthe performer shared his experience of working on Christopher Nolan’s next film and praised the director for his practical approach and the enormous scale he gave to his adaptation of Homer’s epic.
“We’re doing everything for real. But it is different from television (…). (In The Odyssey), you go and do a scene, and then, (whistle) for a week. ‘Are we back? Good’. But I was in Greece and Italy filming and working with them was a lot of fun”, says the actor, who has already classifies Nolan as “one of my favorite directors”.
In addition to Matt Damon and Nick E. Tarabay, the film’s cast includes artists such as Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth and Elliot Page, among many others.
