Alonso Comunte was born in 1932 in the municipality of Benavente Zamorano. He studied in Madrid and at the San Fernando Academy of Fine ArtsAfter receiving a scholarship to expand his studies in sculpture, he moved to Paris to continue his training.
He worked as a drawing teacher in Benavente and Madrid, and between 1986 and 2002 he was a professor at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts of Zamora and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Salamanca.
