Today, Thursday (12/4), Vasco announced the renewal of the contract of midfielder Jair. The new contract will be valid until December 2026. But the athlete is still injured.

“Vasco da Gama informs that it has agreed to renew the contract for midfielder Jair until December 2026. The new contract of the athlete with the club was signed on Wednesday,” he announced.

In 2025, Jair played 27 matches and scored one goal. His last match for Cruzmaltino was on August 31, when they beat Sport 3×2, in Ilha do Retiro.
On that occasion, the midfielder was subjected to a strong tackle by one of Leao’s players, which led to a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and the medial collateral ligament, in addition to an injury to the meniscus and osteochondrium.
