
A fire broke out led to the evacuation of a Latam Airbus A320 aircraft flying from São Paulo to Porto Alegre on Thursday night (12/4) at Terminal 2 of São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, in the metropolitan area.
The fire broke out in the baggage transport vehicle serving the plane. One of the passengers recorded the moment.

Latam Airlines Brasil reported in a statement that during the boarding of passengers on board flight LA3418 (São Paulo / Guarulhos – Porto Alegre), a fire broke out in ground equipment belonging to an external company responsible for loading the flight’s cargo.
According to the company, the smoke generated by the equipment triggered safety protocols. Passengers were removed from the plane via the boarding bridge (finger) and escape slide, all with the assistance of staff trained in this type of situation.
