The Israeli army “neutralizes a terrorist” and arrests others during a raid in the northern West Bank

The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it had “neutralized” a Palestinian it accused of terrorism during a joint operation with other security forces in the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.

He said in a statement published on the social networking site

In addition to three battalions of the Israel Defense Forces and members of various police forces, “several terrorists” who were transferred to Shin Bet, Israel’s internal intelligence service, participated in the operation.

Moreover, the forces confirmed that during the long day they “searched hundreds of sites and confiscated various combat equipment, including M16 weapons, a cannon, and dozens of bullets.”

The United Nations recently reported that more than a thousand Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank at the hands of extremist soldiers or settlers since October 7, 2023, the date of attacks launched by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions against Israel, although in the nine months leading up to 7-0 the highest number of Palestinian deaths in the West Bank since the Second Intifada, two decades ago, was recorded.
