American multinational web infrastructure and cybersecurity company Cloudflare is facing a global failure that has taken many websites and platforms around the world, including Zoom and Canva, to stop working. This is the second time in two weeks that the cloud services company, which is key to the functioning of the Internet, has faced problems.
The company notes that it is “investigating issues with Cloudflare’s dashboard and related APIs.” “Customers using Cloudflare’s control panel/APIs are affected as requests may fail and/or errors may be displayed.”
The first websites to fail due to Cloudflare’s downfall were online design and publishing tool Canva and video calling service Zoom. Online video game services like Valorant, Fortnite, League of Legends, or the Epic Games Store are also experiencing issues.
According to the specialized page Downdetector, which records incidents online, problems began to be noticed around 8:00 Spanish peninsular time, although reports of incidents began to multiply around 10:00.
On November 18, Cloudflare went down for four hours, causing X, ChatGPT, Canva, and other software to stop working.
