HBO Max officially announces the production of the 2nd season of Dune: The Prophecythe prequel series to Denis Villeneuve’s film adaptation.

Under this premise we follow the story of Valya and Tula Harkonnen, two sisters fighting against the forces that threaten the future of humanitywhich chronicles the creation and rise of the legendary sect known as Bene Gesserit.
This cult is made up exclusively of women with supernatural control over their body, mind and, above all, their voice.
The Bene Gesserit organization will become a fundamental part of the Empire’s politics.with counselors in all the great houses of the Landsraad.
Production begins Dune: The Prophecy 2nd season
After a successful first season HBO Max gave the green light for a new season, whose production has just officially started, as informed by the platform itself through a press release.
It will be Alison Schapker (Western World, Altered Carbon, Almost Human) who will serve as showrunner in this second season, which will have a total of eight episodes.
At the moment the plot details of the new season of Dune: The Prophecyalthough HBO Max has confirmed the new hires that will join the series’ cast in the next episodes.
The new additions announced so far are Indira Varma (Mission Impossible: Judgment Day, Creature Commands, A challenging future), Ashley Walters (Adolescence, I miss you, Bulletproof) and Tom Hollander (Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, The White Lotus), although it has not been revealed what roles each will play.
Returning in the new season are Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, Yerin Ha, Barbara Marten and Tessa Bonham Jones.
