At least 70% of women of reproductive age experience discomfort from menstrual cramps, according to a study by the Brazilian Society of Clinical Medicine (SBCM). In addition to pain, there is also a feeling of swelling, increased sensitivity in some areas of the body, and fatigue. However, maintaining the habit of exercising even during this period is healthy and contributes to improving symptoms.

Moreover, exercising during menstruation keeps a woman active throughout the day and resists the urge to lie down. He says: “Sport improves blood circulation in all the body’s muscles and enriches them with oxygen and nutrients. This improves the muscles’ ability to release more energy.”
