When Cyberpunk 2077 was starting to take shape, a multiplayer mode was announced; in truth, It would be an independent game.…But it remained little more than a dream.
Since 2020, CD Projekt’s game has grown and improved, adding new features. It is in excellent condition, but will never receive multiplayer.
At least unofficial: a group of modders will bring this option to the PC versionand they just showed you what status your project is at.

Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mod is progressing at a good pace
The ambitious CyberMP will arrive in Cyberpunk 2077 later a private phase that showed notable progress. It’s like silk and it won’t be long before we can enjoy it.
The last closed beta included races, shootouts and collaborative rides through Night City; some options that we can enjoy in the PC version.
To achieve this, the CyberMP guys rewrote the main systemsso that vehicles and characters appear consistent between players.
In addition to synchronization, the developers tested an interface that includes integrated chat, teleportation and options to create custom lobbies. They want the mod to have everything.
There is still a lot of work to be implemented, but those responsible say that achieved “a before and an after” with their latest progress.
But don’t expect GTA Online: the goal is to offer massive games focused on team death, races and competitive modes.
On the less positive side, the creators documented small bugs during testingbut many were immediately corrected.
