Free Training 1, which was scheduled to take place on Friday in São Paulo, has been officially canceled due to technical problems with radio connectivity. According to the organization, technical malfunctions in the radio systems prevented communication between the race management and the teams.

The session had previously been postponed five times before the cancellation decision, and there were attempts to resume activity around 4:30 pm, with the new times being at 5 pm, 5:15 pm, 5:30 pm, and 5:45 pm. But as problems continued, the training was canceled altogether.

Teams reported interference in the radio system used to communicate with the cars, as well as race control failures that hindered the transmission of essential safety commands and alerts.

According to the organization, the priority was to maintain the integrity of the race, hence the suspension. As a result, drivers will have to wait until Saturday to resume training. The schedule includes a new track session to determine qualifying and race times.
